Rick Kern是加州大学伯克利分校法语系的教授兼系主任。他曾担任伯克利语言中心（Berkeley Language Center）主任长达16年👩🏼‍🏫。他教授的课程包括外语教育☣️、语言、法语语言学等。他的研究兴趣包括语言与技术的关系🦹🏼、语言习得、读写能力💎。他的学术著作包括：Screens and Scenes: Multimodal Communication in Online Intercultural Encounters (Routledge, 2018), Language, Literacy, and Technology (Cambridge UP🫅🏻，2015)，Literacy and Language Teaching (Oxford UP) 和Network-Based Language Teaching (Cambridge UP)🔽。
